The NPNFF Courage in Action Awards Program

Established to call attention to the positive efforts of grassroots, community-based organizations and practitioners working with fathers, to recognize fathers who have demonstrated the courage and initiative to develop and practice positive fathering roles, and to acknowledge the contributions of advocates, policy makers, researchers and others who support the development of the fatherhood field.

The Courage in Action Annual Awards are presented at the NPNFF Annual Membership Meeting.

The Courage in Action Awards have been established by NPNFF to call attention to the positive efforts of grassroots, community-based organizations and practitioners working with fathers, recognize young fathers who have demonstrated the courage and initiative to develop and practice positive fathering roles, and acknowledge the contributions of advocates, policy makers, researchers, funding organizations, and government agency workers who have supported the development of the fatherhood field.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE - FATHERHOOD WORKSHOP TRACK PROJECT

NPNFF has launched a major outreach project designed to place fathers and fatherhood issues on the national conference agendas of major organizations whose members have traditionally focused their services to women, children and families. This project is funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

The National Practitioners Network for Fathers and Families, Inc. (NPNFF) has developed a "Fatherhood Workshop Track" in response to our goal of promoting broader understanding of the work of practitioners in the responsible fatherhood movement, and to build bridges of understanding and cooperation with other organizations working in the family support sector. NPNFF can sponsor the presentation of two (2) or three (3) fatherhood track workshops at your organization’s national conference or major skills-building training event.
